BASTILLE DAY
Set alarm for 7:30 AM. Off to Baptist Center. Another blistering day.
We served 17 families at the Food Pantry. The Center was closed last week. So there was a backlog. I came home and took a nap.
Massage this afternoon. With the heat all of my joints are flexible.
Took another nap and we went to dog park at 7. Lady Chica and Buddy saw each other and happily ran up and down the fence once. Then all the dogs lay down in the shade. Eventually Lady Chica came up and wanted to go home. (She knows that when she comes up I put on her leash and we go home.)
Lady Chica's Tale
Buddy and I were happy to see each other. We didn't feel much like running. Mom says temp is 97 at 9 PM. It was 105 this afternoon.
Blitzen's Tale
Didn't do much running tonight. It is just too hot. LC and I slept all day.
BOOK REVIEW
Beverly Connor, *One Grave Too Many*
Romantic suspense but better than most. A lot of info about bones. Diane Fallon is a forensic anthropologist. She spent years with an International organization digging up sites of massacres until she dug up one grave too many. She took off a year and then became Director of a Museum of Natural History. Her romantic target brings her a bone to examine. This leads to three murders. Fallon finds the body to which the bone belongs and ultimately traps the killer.
