I have been reading Libertarian blogs and I want to argue. It seems to me that many Libetarians in pursuit of personal freedom do not recognize that a positive externality is living in a community.
Few would deny the necessity of a police force and fire dept. I would add public education.
I am also wary of "parents' rights". Too many children are being abused. Children have rights as well.

I agree with you on the police and fire depts.
I think the jury is out on public education. I'm seeing too many graduates who can't read a book OR a tape measure.
I didn't know you had started this blog. Will link soon, and check it out regularly.
