June 30, 2009

Baptist Center. 9:20 andhere comes my third customer for groceries. Few customers today, only six. It was a slow day all around. No more adult clothing for the summer. Center is closed next week.

Came home and took a nap. Then off to the dog park. The sky was overcast and the air was heavy enuf to drink but it was not uncomfortable. Only three or four big dogs and they wouldn't run. Blitzen and Lady Chica finally ran with bicycles on the road. They got tired out, thank goodness.

Not much today.

Lady Chica's Tale
Well, those dogs wouldn't run. We barked and barked and barked. Mom took me thru the agility course. I felt cooperative; so I complied. I like to lie on the desk under the window and look out. Mom wont open the door anymore. Says the outdoors is too hot.

Blitzen's Tale
I really trash talked that big bruiser of a boxer or maybe a pit bull. But he wouldn't run. None of those bruisers would run. Got tired out chasing bicycles.

BOOK REVIEW
Sara Rosett, *Magnolias, Moonlight and Murder*
Chick book, Mom Zone. Ellie Avery is the wife of an Air Force pilot, now stationed in Georgia. Out for a wlk she stumbles on an extra body in a family graveyard. (In old settled parts of the country there are many family graveyards.) She learns that the woman who previously lived in the house she lives in has disappeared. But the body does not belong to Jodi. The body is that of a young black man who disappeared in 1955 among rumors of lynching.
Of course, Ellie discovers the truth about both deaths. Good easy read.

Hugs, Dr. Liz
